Ampersand
The brief
The rebranding of an Advocates’ stable following a shake-up in
the way their sector operated.
The requirement was for a
strong, clear brand name and communication structure which combined the traditional nature of their sector with a contemporary forward-looking flavour.
Through an investigation of the sector, the competition and the values of the stable, the name Ampersand was proposed and accepted through a majority vote with stable members. This was then applied to a variety of media
in order to launch brand identity
and communication material.
The identity and supporting material has repositioned the stable as current and relevant without losing the traditional values which underpin their sector.

Guidelines were created to
define correct use of the symbol,
corporate typeface, colour palette
image use and tone of voice.
Ampersand – The Key
Following the successful branding
of the stable itself, Ampersand needed to name and brand a lecture series highlighting issues which were relevant to their clients.
Size suggested the name - The Key, and developed the brand identity and supporting material.
